Why does Resiliency matter?

Regardless of your journey through life, you will encounter hardships. Resiliency can be thought of as a toolbox for life. You will need a variety of tools depending on what comes your way. Resiliency is considered an essential life skill and results in:

  • Improved focus
  • Better grades and school attendance
  • Stronger family connection
  • Good physical health
  • Healthy emotions
  • Effective decision making

You will encounter unexpected turns, turbulence, and obstacles. At some point, you may need to be rescued!

Everyone’s trip down the river of life is different and preparation makes for a better voyage. So, let us begin our journey!

Resiliency is the ability to adapt or overcome problems in your life. Our resiliency journey begins the day we are born.

Resiliency skills develop over time and are based on how we think and what we do. Another key part is learning to manage our emotions when problems arise.
